ABOUT JIM SHAFER

Hi! My name is Jim Shafer and I am the founder and sole attorney of Shafer Legal Services, PLLC with 20 years experience in law and much more in life that I can bring to bear for you.

I live and work in Belmont, Michigan with my wife and 4 dogs (who are my 4 furry junior associates). I have both an undergraduate and law degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis, where I graduated with honors in law. I practiced law full time for about 15 years, specializing in health care business law and transactions before expanding into selling real estate with Coldwell Banker AJS-Schmidt in Grand Rapids in 2012.

I created Shafer Legal Services, PLLC in 2012 to continue helping people with their legal issues.  I know how complex, expensive and overwhelming the legal process can be. This is why my goal is to help you understand your rights and the issues affecting you, whether it is in your business or personal life. You will always be fully involved in your legal issue and I will keep you fully informed at every step of the way. My focus is on real estate, small business and personal legal services.
